Tallahassee Diagnostic Imaging offers on-site breast biopsy procedures performed by a radiologist specialized in women’s imaging.  Invivo’s DynaCAD is used to assist with the biopsy procedures.

What will a patient experience during a breast biopsy?
A local anesthetic is delivered prior to and during the biopsy to numb the skin and the area of interest inside the breast.  A small amount of compression is used to minimize breast movement during the procedure.
The patient’s experience will be very similar to a Breast MRI, with a little extra time for positioning and interaction with the radiologist.  The total procedure should take 30-45 minutes.
